As part of our rejuvenation here at The Grange, we dreamed about a culinary program that would bring fresh local ingredients together with passionate people to create an authentic County Experience. We set out to make this happen.
At The Grange, we’ve reimagined our culinary offerings to capture the essence of Prince Edward County. With a dedication to fresh, local ingredients, our culinary program blends seasonal flavors with a warm sense of community, making every meal a true County experience.
This vision is brought to life by Chef Paul Tobias, whose passion and expertise shine through in every dish. From weddings and rehearsal dinners to intimate dinners with friends, corporate events, or casual lunch outings, Chef Paul crafts menus with care, reflecting both the region’s bounty and our commitment to quality.
Whether you visit during our cozy indoor seated service from October through April or savor the lively ambiance of our outdoor kitchen from May to September, the Grange Culinary program is designed to create unforgettable dining moments. Chef Paul Tobias
Originally from the Philippines, Paul brings a wealth of culinary experience to The Grange. Having refined his skills in Toronto and at notable establishments like The Drake Devonshire Inn and Agrarian Bistro, he has developed a distinct style that seamlessly blends tradition with creativity.
At Idle Wild, which he founded with his wife Melissa Cannons, Paul embraced his passion for Asian classic cuisine, delighting the Wellington community for five successful years. Now, he is eager to embark on a new journey at The Grange, where he aims to harmonize his culinary creations with the estate’s vibrant energy and exceptional terroir-driven wines.
With a commitment to using thoughtfully selected ingredients, Paul intends to craft a menu that offers both comfort and playfulness, inviting guests to enjoy a memorable dining experience in the heart of Prince Edward County.
Outdoor Kitchen
The Grange Outdoor Kitchen offers guests a casual and delicious menu made from locally sourced, in season ingredients. The focus is on easy to eat, generally hand held portions that can be enjoyed socially over a glass of wine or cocktails with family and friends.
Guests are invited to drop in any time during kitchen hours and order from the posted menu. In addition, weekly features are posted to instagram @grangewinery and are offered until sold out. Once you’ve ordered, find a spot at our outdoor seating or grab a space on our abundant lawn areas.
Wedding & Private Dining
Our culinary team lead by Chef Paul Tobias are seasoned experts at creating and serving dining experiences to suit any desire. Wedding and event clients choose from a series of set food packages or work with the team to create a custom menu.
Our chefs prepare and serve food from our Indoor Loft kitchen as well as our Outdoor Kitchen in the summer months, allowing the team to flex with demand as needed.
